Former Bishop Miege basketball star Bol Bol, whose 3-pointer against McPherson High late in the 2016 Class 4A Division I state championship game turned the outcome in the Stags’ favor, has made a verbal commitment to Oregon.

Oregon is coached by former Kansas State coach Dana Altman.

Bol was at Miege before transferring to Mater Dei in California. The 7-2 Bol has a 7-8 wingspan and 9-7 standing reach.

He is now at Findlay Prep in Henderson, Nev., after his one year in California. Rated as one of the top five recruits in the country by most services, he is the son of the late Manute Bol, who had a long NBA career.

According to reports, Bol picked Oregon over Kentucky.
