NORTH NEWTON — Bethel College is looking for a new football coach.

Morris Lolar, who had piloted the Threshers the past three seasons, resigned last week, according to a press release by the school.

Lolar was 7-23 in his tenure.

“I appreciate the commitment coach Lolar made to our football program at Bethel," Bethel Athletic Director Tony Hoops said in the release. "He leaves it in a better place after three seasons. Morris' great personality was always enjoyable to have within our department. We will miss him. I wish him nothing but the best going forward."

Top assistant Kevin Griffin also resigned, the release said.

Lolar earlier this fall was named at the head coach for the Wichita Force, an indoor football team.

A search is under way for a new coach.
