MHS wrestlers ranked No. 9 in 4A

McPherson High’s wrestling team, which opens its season tonight at Rose Hill, has been ranked No. 9 by the Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association.

Arkansas City, which has dropped down to Class 4A, is No. 1, followed by Andover Central, Tonganoxie, Bonner Srpings and Abilene.

The second five is headed by Marysville, with the remainder of the Top 10 including Clay Center, Louisburg, MHS and Burlington.

MHS’ Rhett Edmonson, who was second in the state last year at 106, has moved up two classes to 120 and is ranked No. 5.

Also at No. 5 is Scott Radke at 152, while Bailey Yarborough is No. 5 at 182.
