GOESSEL — Central Christian won each of the four quarters on Monday to deal Little River’s girls their first basketball loss of the season, 47-33.
Little River trailed 26-17 at the half and never made a serious run.
“Have to give credit to Central Christian, they played hard and took us out of our comfort zone from the beginning,” said Little River coach Trey Look, whose team is 1-1. “We got down early, but fought back towards the end of the first half, but just couldn’t catch up. It wasn’t our best shooting night and couldn’t get our offense going.”
Isabelle Eberle led the Redskins with 13. Little River was without standout senior Melanie Renken, out with a foot injury.
The Little River boys were a 40-35 winner, but game information is not available.
