Canton-Galva Junior High’s boys scored 32 points over the middle two quarters on Thursday to hand Elyria Christian Junior High School a 44-24 defeat.

Ben Unruh scored 9 points to lead Elyria.

“We knew tonight was going to be very tough,” Elyria coach Shawn Stucky said. “Canton-Galva is a strong team that is deep with eighth-graders. I was proud of how the guys played hard inspite of having only six players and being outsized.”

C-G won the B-game, 36-9. Elyria had four players with 2 points each.

Two more quarters were played in the C-game, with Canton-Galva a 20-7 winner. Ross Burrill scored 3 points for ECJH.
