SAN ANTONIO — Former McPherson High star Steve Henson couldn’t have been happier with his team’s performance on Saturday.

Henson’s University of Texas-San Antonio Roadrunners raced past Bethany College 95-67 in what was an exhibition game for the Swedes.

The Swedes were defeated despite 7 3-pointers and 21 points by whirling dervish point guard Isiah Saenz, whose flair makes him a fan favorite. Tyler Larkin, who had missed two games with a concussion, scored 13 for the Swedes and Thomas Hood chipped in with 10 and grabbed 7 rebounds.

Bethany coach Dan O’Dowd is a former assistant at UTSA.
