MHS boys, girls ranked No. 2 this week

McPherson High’s basketball teams maintained their No. 2 state rankings in Class 4A Division I behind Bishop Miege when the KBCA polls were released on Monday.

Andover Central is behind the MHS boys at No. 3. Rounding out the Top 10 are Ottawa, Wamego, future opponent Augusta, Labette County, Bonner Springs, Spring Hill and Kansas City Piper.

For the girls, Kansas City Piper is No. 3, with future opponent Circle at No. 4. The rest of the Top 10 includes Labette County, Abilene, Andover Central, Hays, future opponent Augusta and Spring Hill.

The Elyria Christian School boys remain No. 2 Class 1A D-II, trailing Otis-Bison. The Eagles have a huge game tonight when they host Little River.

Hesston’s boys are No. 3 in Class 3A, trailing Cheney and Silver Lake. The Swather girls are not ranked after suffering their second loss last week.
