The McPherson Public Library now has a new way to give the public the answers they are looking for.  At the beginning of the year, a new feature became available to anyone who uses the library’s online catalog.  The feature, called “Ask Us”, allows users, both card-holders and guest users, to ask library staff questions about research, collections, hours, programming, and anything else.  Inquiries will be answered by email or by a phone call, if preferred, within one working day, on average.  This new feature can be found within the library’s website at  From there, open the catalog link on the menu, then select “Ask Us” from the “library info.” drop down options.

The new component has been popular, with a variety of questions being fielded by library staff.  Inquiries usually pertain to materials in the library collection or advanced research questions.  “Ask Us” saves library users time, and provides another avenue through which library staff can assist members of the public.
