LINDSBORG – The Bethany College golf team has announced four signees of its 2018-19 recruiting class: Daniel Beck, Colleyville, Texas; Connor Lenhart, Ottawa Lake, Mich.; Ryan Pierce, Colorado Springs, Colo.; and Keagan Larson, Wichita.

Beck comes to Bethany from Harvest Christian Academy where he played varsity golf for four years. He was a three-time golf MVP and received Academic All-State and All-State honors. Beck won the Muenster Invitational, was district runner-up and took fourth place at state.

"Daniel comes to us from Harvest Christian Academy in Colleyville, Texas. I am excited that Daniel chose us in the recruiting process to further his career as a student athlete," Swede  coach Dalton Stevens said. "He comes from a very supportive family that will be a great fit for our golf program here at Bethany. He is very talented in the classroom and on the golf course. I am excited to watch Daniel grow and look forward to working with him."

Lenhart comes to Bethany from Ottawa Lake High School where he was a four-year member of the golf team. His nine-hole average was 38 while his 18-hole average was 75. Lenhart was three-time all-TCC, two-time All-District, two-time All-Region and two-time first team All-State. He was named Monroe County Player of the Year and he is a future Whiteford Hall of Fame inductee (2018).

He is the son of Cindy and Lyle Lenhart. He maintains a 3.31 grade point average and is undecided on his major.

"Connor Lenhart joins us from Ottawa Lake, Michigan where he attended Whiteford High School. Connor is very talented and had several options in the recruiting process," Stevens said. "He has had a lot of success at the high school level in Michigan and in his junior golf in the summers. He is a very hard worker and his dedication to practicing and his drive to be great made him a great target for us. Connor also comes to us from a family that is very supportive. I'm looking forward to getting Connor in the blue and gold this fall."

Pierce joins Bethany from Doherty High School where he played three years of varsity golf. He was a golf team captain his senior year.

In addition, Pierce wrestled for two years.

He is the son of Jeremy and Tammy Pierce and is undecided on his major.

"Ryan comes to us from Doherty High School in Colorado Springs, Colorado,” Stevens said. “I’m excited to have Ryan join our signing class, he is a bright young man, and I feel that his best golf is still ahead of him. We look forward to working with Ryan and harnessing his skillset to improve his game. We had Ryan on campus multiple times and I feel that it is a great fit for him to further his academics and golf. I look forward to Ryan's arrival on campus.”

Larson comes to Bethany from Goddard Eisenhower High School where he played four years of varsity golf.

In addition, Larson played football for two years and bowled for two years. He is also a member of the National Honor Society.  He plans to major in business.

He is the son of Dan and Christa Larson. He keeps a 3.77 grade point average and plans to study business during his time as a Swede.

"Keagan comes to us from Wichita, Kansas where he attended Goddard Eisenhower High School,” Stevens said. “Being around Keagan, he has that will to work hard not only on the golf course but also in the classroom. Keagan comes to us with some of the best academic standards the state has to offer in the recruiting process of smart/talented young men. I look forward to Keagan excelling in his time here at Bethany."
