WICHITA — McPherson College’s men’s tennis team is picked to win the KCAC title this season in a vote of coaches.

Mac, which has won the conference tournament three years in a row, received 9 of 10 first-place votes, with the other going to Southwestern.

Ottawa actually is the No. 2 pick, with Southwestern No. 3. Bethany is fourth.

Southwestern’s women are picked to unseat McPherson College in the poll. Mac is not expected to have a full team this year after years of dominating the conference. Currently there are only four women on the roster, but three of them are among the KCAC’s best players.

Yet the Bulldogs are finished second. Ottawa is third.
