ANDOVER — Andover captured a pair of victories from the McPherson seventh-grade girls in basketball action Monday.

The A-team lost 24-14 despite a 12-point game by Alexis Dukes. The B-team was defeated 24-5.

“I am truly proud of the way the girls played last night,” MMS coach Kaleigh Huxman said. “They worked as a team, making great passes and moving together on the defensive end. Alexis Dukes was aggressive to the basket scoring 12 points and getting to the free throw line 10 times. We came up short of a win, but we definitely improved in last night’s game.”

MMS A (14) — Dukes 12, Sears 2

MMS B (5) — Patterson 2, LeBlanc 3.
