SEDGWICK — Inman’s girls rolled into the semifinals of the Sedgwick Invitational as they overwhelmed Belle Plaine 60-22 in Tuesday’s opening round.

It actually was a competitive game for a quarter as Inman led only 16-10, but the Teutons totally shut down Belle Plaine over the final three quarters, allowing only 12 points total while scoring 44 themselves.

It was one of those feel-good nights as 12 players broke into the scoring column, led by MaKayla Michael with 15.

Inman takes on Wichita Independent at 7:30 Thursday in the semifinals.

• Sedgwick 43, Canton-Galva 16 — The game between the 4-5 seeds normally is the most competitive of the day, but the host Cardinals grounded the Eagles.

C-G was held to a single free throw in the first quarter and also scored just 2 points in the third as it could never get anything going.  Kaysha Unruh led the Eagles with 6 points.

The Eagles play at 6:00 Thursday against Chaparral.
