On Saturday, February 3rd at 10:00 a.m. the McPherson Public Library will offer the public a chance to preview a new PBS Kids show: Pinkalicious & Peterrific.  The series is based on the best-selling Pinkalicious book series by Victoria Kann and premieres on KPTS, Channel 8 on Monday, February 19 at 8:00 a.m.

Pinkalicious & Peterrific is designed for pre-school children ages 3 to 5.  It encourages kids to engage in the creative arts and self-expression, covering areas such as music, dance and visual arts.  The series follows the adventures of Pinkalicious and her brother Peter, as Pinkalicious imagines creative possibilities everywhere she looks.

“We are so excited that KPTS has offered us the chance to share this series with our families,” said Jennifer McCulley, Youth Services Coordinator. “The book series has always been incredibly popular and we hope that the kids will enjoy seeing it come to life. As educators, we know how important it is for children be encouraged in creative expression and we think this is a fun way to showcase those skills.”

The McPherson Public Library will be showing the first five episodes of the new series, and participants will also leave with a Pinkalicious book of their own.
