MAIZE — McPherson Middle School’s wrestling team lost two matches on Tuesday by almost identical scores.

MMS lost 51-39 to Newton and 52-38 to Andover as part of a quad hosted by Maize South.

“We fell short in both duals tonight and definitely saw some ups and downs,” Bullpup coach Kaden Kretzer said. “Losing is never fun, but it does help give some insight on where we need to apply more focus in practice and during competition. We have a week until our next meet so it will be nice to have a little bit of time to tune up some of our skills.”
