The Kansas Highway Patrol reported that a two-car crash happened at 3:30 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 1 in McPherson County and it turned out to be a fatal crash.
It was reported that David Chamberlain Jr., of Haven, rear-ended an RV near Navajo Road and I-135. His car then drove into a ditch, hit a fence and then caught fire. Chamberlain died at the scene, and the report state that he was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
The driver of the RV, a 27-year old Wichita man, was not injured.
