LINDSBORG — Smoky Valley’s Ethan Wampler was the Central Kansas League wrestling champion in the 285-pound division on Thursday.
Wampler was 5-0 in running the table.
Smoky Valley was fourth with 97 points, trailing Hoisington (157), Pratt (151) and Larned (142).
Also for the Vikings, Devon VanFosson was second at 113 as was Dax Hopp at 160, while thirds were by Chase Pywell at 145, Cort Elliott at 182 and Jon Burks at 195. Denton Jacobson was sixth at 138.
Hesston took sixth with 34 points. The Swathers received a second from Jason Hecht at 126, a third from Matt Whitsitt at 160, and fourths from Sean Duersken and Alex Koehn at 220 and 285, respectively.
