BRANSON, Mo. — Central Christian College’s final baseball road trip of the season started on Friday with a pair of losses to College of the Ozarks.
Central lost Game 1, 8-0. The Tigers were held to five hits, including a double and single by Chance Carney. The Bobcats strung together four separate innings of two runs each.
Central had a chance to gain the split in a roller-coaster second game, but the Bobcats walked it off in the final inning as the winning run scored on a throwing error for a 7-6 triumph.
Troy Carrigan and Brian Marroquin both collected two hits for the Tigers. Both of Marroquin’s hits were doubles and Carrigan had a two-bagger as well.
Central is now 6-46 and plays two more games against the Bobcats today.
