McPherson PD releases murder victim's identity

In the early morning hours of June 11, 2018, at approximately 12:25 am, Officers of the McPherson Police Department were dispatched to the report of shots fired to Mustang Mobile Park, the 400 block of Dales Draw, McPherson, KS.

Upon their arrival in the 400 block, officers located a male, 22 years of age, later identified as Jordan Krell. Krell was found lying in the empty lot, unconscious and unresponsive, and was pronounced dead at the scene from an apparent gunshot wound. Krell is a Canton, Kansas resident.

The investigation has led Detectives to the arrest of a 17 year old McPherson juvenile male for the charges of 1st Degree Murder, burglary, theft, and possession of stolen property. He will be transported and booked into a juvenile detention facility.

The investigation into this incident is still an active and ongoing case. The investigation is being conducted by numerous detectives from the McPherson Police Department and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation.
