The McPherson County District Court set a bond of $500,000 and GPS monitoring and supervision for 18-year old Noah Bratcher at Friday’s hearing. Bratcher was charged with first-degree murder, theft and possession of stolen property in connection with the death of 22-year old Jordan Krell on June 11 in the 400 Block of Dale’s Draw in McPherson at the Mustang Mobile Park.
McPherson County Attorney Gregory Benefiel argued Bratcher poses a public safety risk, and cited items found on Bratcher’s cell phone. Benefiel also said discussions of selling an allegedly stolen firearm were discovered.
McPherson County District Court Judge Joe Dickinson set a 9:30 a.m. hearing on Sept. 14 to decide whether Bratcher should be tried as an adult or as a minor, since the incident happened when he was 17.
