McPherson Hospital was recently recognized with two awards by the national healthcare research firm Professional Research Consultants, Inc. (PRC).
The hospital received a 4-star award for excellence in inpatient services for the overall hospital rating category. This means the inpatient facility scored in the top 25 percent of PRC’s national client database for the prior calendar year. The hospital also received a 5-star excellence award for communications about medications to patients, meaning they scored in PRC’s top 10 percent of clients nationally.
The hospital was honored with the awards during the recent 2018 Excellence in Healthcare Conference in Charleston, South Carolina.
The Excellence in Healthcare Awards recognize organizations and individuals who achieve excellence throughout the year by improving patient experiences, healthcare employee engagement and/or physician alignment and engagement based on surveys of their patients.
“It is an honor to recognize McPherson Hospital with these ‘Excellence in Healthcare Awards’ for their deserving work,” said Joe M. Inguanzo, Ph.D., President and CEO of PRC. “It takes true dedication and determination to achieve this level of excellence in healthcare and McPherson Hospital has shown their commitment to making their hospital a better place to work, a better place to practice medicine and a better place for patients to be treated.”
“We are honored to receive these awards from PRC,” said McPherson Hospital president and CEO Terri Gehring. “They reflect our focus on improving patient satisfaction and we are working to expand this success into other areas of patient care.”
