City Commissioners recently adopted Resolution No. 18-08, which will allow the acceptance of select payments by use of credit or debit cards. City staff may accept funds for total amounts less than $2,000 for specific fees, costs and fines. Payment services will be provided by Xpress Bill Pay.
A convenience fee will be charged per transaction to prevent the subsidizing of credit card and debit card usage by the taxpayers. Fees will include $3 for transactions less than or equal to $100; $5 for transactions greater than $100 but less than or equal to $500; and $7 for transactions greater than $500 up to $2,000. Transactions exceeding $2,000 must be paid by check or money order.
