CHICKASHA, Okla. — At least it wasn’t a one-possession loss for the Central Christian College men, who have suffered more than their share of heartbreak for one season.

But it was a close loss, nevertheless, as the Tigers were outlasted 75-69 Saturday afternoon by the University of Science and Arts.

CCC actually won the second half 42-40, but was outscored 35-27 in the first half.

The Tigers, losing their third straight game, are now 5-12 in the Sooner Athletic Conference and 11-13 overall. They have lost nine games by 6 points or less.

Steve Kuminga and Jubril Osagie led the Tigers with 18 points apiece. Central struggled from beyond the arc, making just 6 of 25, and also had an off night at the foul line by making 15 of 24.

Central plays its fifth and final game of this extended road trip on Tuesday at Langston University before coming back to town for an extended homestand to close out the season.

Central (69) — Kuminga 18, Osagie 18, Rivera 9, Mitchell 9, Williams 4, Ard 4, Epps 3, Staten 2, Diatta 2.
