NORTH NEWTON — Former Moundridge High School star Brandon Kaufman will be joining the Bethel College Sports Hall of Fame.

The 2019 Hall of Fame class was announced by the school on Wednesday.

Kaufman finished his Thresher football career as the school leader in interceptions with 23 and three times was chosen first-team All-KCAC.

He reached the pinnacle of his career in 2007 when he was named first-team NAIA All-American as he led the nation in interceptions and was second in punt returns.

He totaled 274 tackles for his career, 25 for loss and had three sacks. He played in the golden era of Bethel football as the Threshers were conference champions in both 2006 and 2007.

Kaufman, who also was an NAIA National Player of the Week during his career, will be honored Oct. 12 during Bethel College’s Homecoming Weekend.
