McPherson College’s soccer teams will be in an underdog role when they go on the road Saturday for the first round of the KCAC Postseason Tournament.

The Bulldog men head up to Nebraska to take on York College in the 4-5 matchup. The Panthers outlasted the Bulldogs 3-1 just last week, so that loss is fresh in the minds of Mac. The winner most likely will play at Oklahoma Wesleyan in the semifinals as the Eagles are the No. 1 seed and ranked No. 5 in the country.

The Mac women make only the half-hour drive to Salina to take on Kansas Wesleyan in a 4 p.m. quarterfinal.

The Bulldogs made a late rush to finish 4-5-3 in the KCAC, while Kansas Wesleyan is 10-2.

The teams met early in the year, with the Coyotes a 3-0 winner.

The winner goes up against the Friends-Ottawa winner next week in the semifinals.
