GREAT BEND – After a sluggish 6-4 start to their baseball season, the McPherson 13U Bullpups are on a tear.
With a 4-0 weekend at Great Bend, the Bullpups now have won 15 games in a row to move to 21-4.
A summary of the weekend:
McPherson 13, Salina Warriors 1 – A pair of five-run innings led to the easy victory. Carter Allen and Clark Felvus drilled three hits apiece and Allen drove in two runs. Brenden Doile and Jase Fitzmorris added two RBIs. Doile was the winner, fanning four.
McPherson 15, Rebels 3 – The Bullpups did all their damage in four innings, with a six-run fourth the highlight. Doile led the way with three hits, while Brock Richardson added two. Felvus, Teegan Haines and Brody Seidl all drove in two runs. Bayer White was the winner.
McPherson 4, Rebels 2 – Down 2-1, the Bullpups scored three runs in the sixth to win it. Allen had two hits and two RBIs to spark the rally. Ian Razak added two hits. Fitzmorris threw five strong innings and fanned six, with Razak finishing up.
McPherson 8, Salina Warriors 0 – Razak and Allen combined on a shutout and combined for seven strikeouts. Allen and Richardson led the offense with two hits and Richardson drove in two.
