Midkansasonline.com  will be publishing bowling scores beginning this week plus any other worthy bowling happenings. The announcement was made Monday by Sports Editor Steve Sell in conjunction with Starlite’s Cliff Hutts.

The league results will be posted the following morning of competition. Included will be the team standings and the top three high games and high series.

Starlite is nearing the halfway point in the season. This year, however, is going to have to go a long way to surpass the 2012-13 season.

A record 62 men bowlers carried at least a 200 average, which more than doubles the previous high. Leading the way was Beau Peterson, who had an amazing 239 average, the all-time high. Mike Cavanaugh was second with 231.

Sonya Morse carried a 200 on the women’s side to once again reign as the premier female bowler. Close behind were Tawny Hoffman (196) and Rhonda Barnhart (195).
