LINDSBORG — Rachel Cadden, Broomfield, Colo., has signed a letter of intent to play softball at Bethany College for the 2014-2015 academic year.
Cadden, a pitcher and infielder, comes to Bethany from Legacy High School in Broomfield, Colo., where she played softball all four years and golf for one year. Cadden was also a member of the debate team, and a three-year participant in DECA, attending the state competition for two years.
In the 2013 high school softball season, Cadden posted a .304 batting average and two runs batted in.
"We are excited to announce the addition of Rachel Cadden from Legacy High School in Broomfield, Colorado," Bethany coach Janice Esses said. "Rachel is a versatile player with experience in the circle, on the infield and in the outfield. It is great to have a player you can put anywhere on the field. We look to have her work at several positions until we can determine where her strengths are needed to help the team. We look forward to working with her next fall and watching her develop academically and athletically."
She is the daughter of Anne and Stephen Cadden. She plans to major in athletic training.
