SALINA — Bethany College’s women were outlasted 83-75 Friday by Peru State College in the opening round of the Kansas Wesleyan Classic.

Alex Brammer fired in 25 points for the Swedes and Evin Sullivan chipped in with 14.

“We were done in by turnovers and a lack of aggressiveness against their pressure," Bethany coach Brett Morehouse said. "Alex Brammer and Evin Sullivan had great individual nights on the offensive end, but we need more balance and more production by the rest of our rotation."

Bethany is now 2-13 and is playing Doane today in its final Classic game.
