LINDSBORG — Kaitlyn Hardin of Chandler, Ariz., has signed a letter of intent to play softball at Bethany College.
Hardin, a first and third baseman, comes to Bethany from Perry High School. She has consistently batted .400, and only totaled a mere seven strikeouts her freshman and sophomore seasons.
Hardin was involved in Key Club, Impact Club, Spanish Club, Unicef, Harry Potter Club, and was HOSA Club President for two consecutive years. She also was an assistant coach for Force Baseball 12U, a volunteer student trainer for three years, and assisted with the Food for the Hungry 5K and USSSA Toys for Tots.
"We are thrilled to have Kaitlyn Hardin join our program," Bethany coach Janice Esses said. "Kaitlyn will bring a lot of energy to our program. She is a great encourager and communicator on the field. Our coaching staff has not only been impressed with her abilities on the softball field, but also her positive attitude, work ethic and hustle on the field. With her eagerness to get involved, she will be a great addition to the Bethany community. We feel Kaitlyn will be a contributor right away. We look forward to working with her."
Hardin is the daughter of Ray and Rachelle Lemus.
