Central, Mac both home today

It’s a full day of college basketball in McPherson.

Both Central Christian College and McPherson College will be home today for twinbills.

The CCC teams host Hillsdale Baptist, with the women playing at 3 p.m. and the men at 5. The Lady Tigers are 7-9 and the Central men are a sparkling 13-2.

This is the final tuneup for the Tiger teams as they open MCAC play next weekend.

McPherson College hosts Kansas Wesleyan in KCAC action, with coverage on 96.7 FM KBBE starting at 4:45. The women’s game has a 5 p.m. tip and the men play at 7.

The Mac women are 3-2 in the KCAC, 7-10 overall. The Bulldog men are 1-4 in the conference, 8-9 overall.

The county’s other college team, Bethany, is on the road at Friends, the women playing at 5 and the men at 7. The BC women are seeking their first KCAC victory as they’re 0-5 and are 2-15 overall as they have lost 14 in a row. The men’s game is for the KCAC lead, as both Bethany and Friends are 5-0. The Swedes are 12-4 overall.

The game also features two of the nation’s top scorers, No. 1 Joe Mitchell of Friends and No. 4 Idris IbnIdris of Bethany.
