CCC's Spence honored by MCAC

Central Christian College’s Quamisha Spence has been named MCAC Player of the Week for her effort in last week’s games. 

The 5-9 junior forward, who hails from Winter Haven, Fla., was awarded the honor for her performances last week against Manhattan Christian College and Hillsdale Baptist College.

Spence averaged 26.5 points and 19.5 rebounds. The Lady Tigers split the two games, losing the first to Manhattan Christian 89-80, before coming back for an 85-84 victory over Hillsdale.

 In the game against Manhattan Christian, Spence scored 23 points and snared 17 rebounds. She was even more of a force in the Hillsdale game, scoring 30 points, grabbing 22 rebounds, dishing out four assists and coming away with 3 steals.

Central finished nonconference play 8-9 after winning three games total last year. It opens up MCAC play Friday against Waldorf College. Game time is  at 5:30 pm.
