It doesn’t seem to matter to the No. 1-ranked Hesston High basketball teams when they play, the result is always the same.

A sweep.

The Swathers were involved in rare Thursday night action, coming away with a road sweep of Halstead.

The Swather girls jumped all over the Dragons for a 19-4 lead, which was the springboard to a 56-20 rout.

Balance was the optimum word for Hesston, as four players hit for double figures — Megan Voth (12), Caylee Richardson (11), Cami Richardson (11) and Kelsey Unruh (10).

The first quarter also keyed the Swather boys’ win. They exploded to a 20-3 lead, which they lived off of the rest of the way for a 56-44 victory.

It was 32-20 at the half as the Dragons did chip away for a while.

Grant Raleigh was electric with 26 points, while Wyatt McKinney tallied 11 and Ryan Schadler furnished 10.
