KCAC honors Mac's Johnson once again

McPherson College’s Devirous Johnson is becoming the KCAC’s secretary of defense.

For the third time this season, the 6-3 senior from Brooklyn, N.Y., has been named KCAC Defensive Player of the Week as announced today by the conference office. 

Johnson yanked down 32 rebounds in Bulldog wins over Southwestern and Bethel, including a whopping 20 against the Threshers.

He is the national leader in rebounds with 277, rebounds a game (12.6) and defensive rebounds a game (8.5), while also leading the nation in double-doubles with 15.

Bethany College’s Idris IbnIdris was named KCAC Player of the Week after averaging 35.5 points in two games, including a school-record 46 Wednesday against Bethel. It’s the second time the senior from San Diego has been honored.
