It’s too bad that Rose Hill and Wichita Trinity can’t combine into one wrestling team here Thursday night.
McPherson High will be home for the final time in what is now a triangular, which has a 6 p.m. start in the auxiliary gym. Rose Hill has eight wrestlers and Trinity seven as there will be a lot of open weights.
MHS will recognize seniors Todd Graber, Jose Gloria, Addie Lanning and SueAnn Buster for their years of contribution.
“We’ve had a good week of practice,” said MHS coach Doug Kretzer, who said his team is preparing just as it would for the toughest teams on the schedule. “As a team I think we have wrestled really well in the last two weeks. I expect those who get matches to wrestle well.”
A victory over Rose Hill would give MHS a 2-3 record in dual matches with AVCTL Division III teams.
