The Andale Indians were involved in three of the most exciting games of the 19th annual Mid America Classic.
Unfortunately, they lost two of them.
The second of those losses came in the third-place game Saturday to Shawnee Mission South, 55-49. The Raiders closed the game on a 19-9 run for the come-from-behind success.
Andale led 40-36 early in the fourth quarter when South's Sierra Roberts unfurled a long 3-pointer. She then came up with a steal and score and the Raiders were off and running.
South wound up scoring 25 points in the final period after scoring just 30 in their first three.
Roberts finished with 19 points to lead the Raiders, now 7-6 on the year.
Andale, which had played a double-overtime game on Thursday and an emotionally draining game with McPherson on Friday, was led by Brittany Meyer with 17 points, while Jaiden Easter added 12. Turnovers were the Indians’ undoing, as they tossed it away 26 times.
