McPherson County still has about two hundred and twenty five thousand dollars available to assist homeowners with home repairs, including siding, roofing, HVAC systems and windows, as reported in the Hutchinson News.

McPherson County administrator Rick Witte said that in order to be eligible for funds, the homeowner must live in the home and the deed must bear their name; insurance, taxes and utilities must be current, the home cannot be in the 100 year floodplain and the homeowner must meet income requirements and stay in the home for three years.

For more information on the program, which can assist with up to $25,000 in home repair expenses, call SCKEDD and talk to Gloria McDowell at (316) 425-8844.
