LINDSBORG — Bethany College’s Kaitlyn Davis, a senior from Hill City, won the KCAC Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week honor on Monday.
Davis won the award after her performance at the Concordia Invitational in Seward, Neb. She is ranked first in the KCAC this season and 14th in the NAIA for high jump. She finished second in the high jump over the weekend with a National Qualifying A Standard Jump of 5-4 1/2.
"We are extremely proud of Kaitlyn," Bethany coach Ken Ciolek said. "This honor really exemplifies the hard work and dedication she puts forth in everything that she does."
Davis opened the 2014 indoor season with a sixth-place finish at the Ward Haylett Invitational at Doane College in Crete, Neb.
Davis and the rest of the Swedes will head to Manhattan Feb. 7-8 for the KCAC Indoor Track Championships.
