After a brutal four-game road trip that yielded no wins for either basketball team, Central Christian College returns home for back-to-back weekend games.
The CCC teams host College of the Ozarks on Friday, with Central Baptist College here Saturday. Central just played those two teams last weekend.
The Lady Tigers are 0-7 in MCAC play and the men are 1-6. The action Friday has a 5:30 p.m. start, then Saturday’s play begins at 3 p.m., with the women kicking the day off both days.
Central’s women lost 110-35 to College of the Ozarks in Point Lookout, Mo., and 81-67 to CBC in Conway, Ark. The Lady Tigers, who are 8-16 overall, have not won since Jan. 11 when they defeated Hillsdale Baptist.
The Central men have dropped four in a row since defeating York on Jan. 21. They lost 83-58 to Ozarks last weekend in perhaps their poorest game of the season, then were outlasted 91-82 in overtime by CBC.
The Tigers are now 15-8 overall after their 14-2 start, which included a win over KCAC co-leader Bethany College.
