McPherson High basketball fans are being made aware of special events taking place at the Bullpups’ final regular-season home game Friday against El Dorado.

 • 1.  It will be the annual “Think Pink" game and MHS’  girls basketball team has received permission from KSHSAA to wear its pink uniforms. MHS is inviting teams and fans from El Dorado to participate by wearing pink to the game or during game/warm-up that meet KSHSAA guidelines (shoe strings/socks etc).  There will be a 15-minute halftime for the girls’ game to allow for a special presentation of the girls basketball team fundraising efforts to help battle cancer.

• 2.  The MHS dance team will be performing between games followed by a 20-minute boys warm-up.

• 3.  MHS will be celebrating winter homecoming at halftime of the boys’ game, which will be 15 minutes.

• 4.  The MHS wrestling team will be running concessions, and donating 100 percent of the profits to the fund to benefit the family of USD 418 teacher Mija Stockman, who is still battling injuries suffered in a December car accident.  In addition, the MHS Activities Department will be donating 50 percent of all gate receipts from Friday's games to the fund set up to assist Mija and her family.
