Kelsey Marx has become the first tennis signee for Central Christian College for the 2014-15 season.
Marx is a senior from Ashland. She is a four-year letterwinner for coach John Lee and the Ashland High School Blue Jays. In addition of lettering all four years, she was a state qualifier this past fall.
“Kelsey is a hard worker, always willing to put in the time to get better,” Lee said.
Marx is the sister of Tiffany Marx, a Tiger tennis alum who played for Nelson in 2008-2009.
She is also a standout in the classroom, earning a cumulative high school grade point average of 3.95. She hopes to pursue degree in art while at Central Christian, focusing on Art Therapy.
“We are very excited to have Kelsey join our program next fall,” Nelson said. “She is a bit raw, but has great potential and a great attitude. She will be an asset for us the next four years.”
Kelsey is the daughter of Doris Mullendore of Ashland. She will join her new teammates next August when all new freshman report to campus for orientation.
