PEABODY — Elyria Christian School’s girls moved past the .500 mark Monday night with a 36-13 blitzing of Peabody in a makeup game.

The Eagles are now 8-7, having won six of their last 10 games.

Great defense was the key, as the Eagles allowed only two points in each of the first two quarters in mounting a 12-4 lead. The offense finally kicked in during the fourth quarter with 15 points.

Anna Adamyk led the Eagles with 11 points. She also had seven rebounds, as did Emily Thiessen.

The Eagle boys lost 59-39, but scoring was not reported.

ECS is right back in action tonight at Centre.
