SHAWNEE, Okla. — Undefeated Oklahoma Baptist captured three straight games from Central Christian College’s baseball team over the weekend.

CCC had entered the series 4-1, but is now 4-4 on the season.

• OBU 11, Central Christian 2 — An eight-run fourth inning turned the tide as the teams were pretty even other than that explosion in the nine-inning game.

Zane Howard had a nice game in defeat by going 3 of 4. Tyler Gniadek added two hits. Doug Gove took the loss and the Tigers used five hurlers in all.

• OBU 12, Central Christian 6 — The big inning again was the difference, as this time the Bison scored seven times in the second.

Howard had two more hits for CCC, which totaled seven. The Bison clubbed three homers, two by Matt Page.

Andrew Hightower took the loss.

• OBU 14, Central Christian 0 — The Bison are now 6-0 after three pitchers combined to hold the Tigers to two hits, one by Drew Scheisser and one by Alex Rodriguez.

Robert Hawkins took the loss.

Central makes its home debut against Kansas Wesleyan in a single-game on Thursday, with game time 2 p.m.
