Four members of the McPherson College track and field team were named KCAC Athletes of the Week as announced on Monday.
Akim Muhammad and Rea Samuels garnered the track honors, while Marlon Clayton and Arryana Barton were tabbed field athletes of the week.

He finished 14th out of 53 runners in the 200 with a time of 22.31 and 17th out 43 competitors in the 400 with a time of 50.68. He also competed on the record setting 4 x 400 relay squad that posted a time of 3:27.32. Muhammad is ranked third in the KCAC in the 200 and ranked first in the 400 dash.
Samuels (Williston, Fla.) won her third KCAC Women's Indoor Track Award after a strong showing at the Air Force Collegiate Open. She finished seventh out of 36 competitors in the 200 dash with a converted time of 26.06. Her time was converted because it was run on an oversized track and also at altitude. Her time set a new McPherson College record in the 200 and she is currently ranked first in the KCAC in the event. Samuels also helped her 4 x 400 relay team place third with a converted time of 4:08.63, setting a new school record.
In the field events, Clayton (San Diego, Calif.) had an impressive display in the Air Force Collegiate Open on Saturday. He finished fifth out of 28 in the triple jump with a mark of 14.00m. Clayton's jump set a new McPherson College record in the event, and met the NAIA's "B" Qualifying Standard.
Barton (Sacramento, Calif.) took home her third KCAC Women's Indoor Field Award with an excellent performance at the Air Force Collegiate Open. Barton placed sixth in the triple jump with a mark of 11.66m. Her jump met the NAIA's "A" Qualifying Standard and currently ranks her at first in the KCAC and fourth in the NAIA.
