BARTLESVILLE, Okla. – Central Christian College’s stay in the MCAC South Division Basketball Tournament was short-lived, as both the men and women were defeated in opening-round play on Friday.

The Tiger men suffered through a cold first half and wound up dropping an 80-69 verdict to College of the Ozarks.

Central had trouble getting started, down 41-27 at the half. It actually outscored the Bobcats in the second half, but the first-half deficit was too much to overcome.

Ozarks’ Nathane Simniok lit it up for 25 points and also dominated the glass for 14 rebounds.

KCAC Freshman of the Year Michael Gholston led the Tigers with 21 points, while guards Daniel Nwosuh and Aaron Miller contributed 15 and 13, respectively.
