CONWAY, Ark. — Central Christian College’s softball team forgot to take along their bats on Friday for an MCAC doubleheader against Central Baptist, which is just outside of the Top 25 national rankings.

The Lady Tigers lost 2-0 and 8-0 decisions to fall to 2-2 in the MCAC and 7-15 overall.

Kristen Hall pitched a terrific first game for CCC, giving up just two runs and seven hits, while walking only two and fanning one. Brooklynn Lemons had the Lady Tigers’ only hit.

A pair of three-run innings led Central Baptist to the lopsided win in the second game. CCC managed only four hits, all singles by four different players.

Cristina Insua took the loss, but only three of the eight runs she allowed were earned as the Lady Tiger defense committed three costly errors.

Central is at Oklahoma Wesleyan today for another MCAC twinbill.
