LINDSBORG — Bethany College’s Kelli Traffas has been named the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference Softball Player of the Week. This marks the second time she has been honored this season.
"Kelli had a great week and came up clutch several times to score runs with two outs," said Bethany coach Janice Esses said. "Kelli has not only had a great slugging percentage, but she has also worked to consistently put the ball in play. Kelli has also been a threat on the bases. She has good reads and will take advantage of any misplays. We look for Kelli to continue working hard as we enter conference play."
In eight games for the Swedes, Traffas went 13 for 29, totaling a .448 batting average and .862 slugging percentage. She recorded three or more RBIs in three of the eight games and two or more hits in five of the games.
