CCC netters lose to SW

Central Christian College’s tennis teams were defeated here Wednesday by Southwestern College as they were able to get the matches in before the weather turned rainy.

The CCC men, whose No. 1 player Mark Gayer was not available, lost 6-3. Dylon Neal moved into the No. 1 singles spot and won 8-1, while Rusty Blanchard won by default at No. 2. They combined for an 8-5 win at No. 1 doubles.

The Lady Tigers lost, 8-1. Tori McCord and Shelbi Mathis won 8-5 at No. 1 doubles.

Central hosts Friends on Friday.
