SALINA — Central Christian College’s men’s tennis team notched its first victory of the year Saturday with an 8-1 rout of KCAC member Kansas Wesleyan.

Singles winners for the Tigers were Dylon Neal (6-2, 6-4), Hugo Chavez (6-0, 6-0) and Blake Williams (3-6, 6-3, 10-8). CCC won two singles matches by default.

Because of injury, Mark Gayer played only doubles with Neal and they were an 8-1 winner. Chavez and Rusty Blanchard won 8-3 and the Coyotes defaulted at the other match.

Kansas Wesleyan won the women’s match, 9-0.

CCC is home Tuesday to take on Hesston College.
