INMAN — Inman baseball coach Jim Preston could not have scripted it any better.
Preston’s Teutons opened the season Tuesday with a rousing sweep of perennial power Ell-Saline. Both games ended with 10-0 Inman victories.
Wyatt Regehr pitched a two-hitter in the first game, with Inman scoring in all but one inning. He also hit a triple and double to help his own cause. Treyton DeVore added a double.
The Teutons did not make an error in the field.
DeVore was the story in the second game with a six-inning no-hitter. The Teutons made only one error behind him.
Regehr, Taylor Almquist and Jon Landeros all hit doubles for the Teutons, who scored all 10 runs in the third inning.
Inman plays Friday at Little River.
