Fallis, Carlson take 1st at Derby

DERBY — McPherson High’s No. 2 doubles team of Daniel Fallis and Nick Carlson went 4-0 to take first place Tuesday in the Derby Invitational Tennis Tournament.

MHS wound up with 19 points to take third, but was just one point behind Derby and Emporia, which tallied 20 apiece. There were eight teams in the field.

The No. 1 doubles team of Hadley Hageman and Patrick Munsey went 3-1 for third place.

In singles, Daniel Holthus was 3-1 for third place, while Price Kramer was 2-2 for seventh.
